Hi Lynn, good choice! Saw a gorgeous minty trio at local pet shop. Can't keep them yet, but did snap a photo!

Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Ha Ha Ha ! Uncle Billy! You know I have been thinking about the mints.
Actually the yellow are more rare ? --- I think; or is it the orange.
I'll have to see the orange and yellow 'in person' one more time before I decide.

    Hello All!
    Imi tad and egg update:

    (Heath)
I have not started it yet because I want to be sure about not getting the mantellas. ( but don't think so)
I don't even have the tank. I'm waiting for petco to have a sale on the 36 W x 24 H. Then it HAS to be drilled and the screening has to be pulled. The set up for each would be different ,though.

I have to get ready for all the imi eggs. This time of year... location of the enclosure is no problem, thank goodness.
Three additional eggs look like they are coming along.
Your tad has doubled in size. If we wait , I feel pretty confident I can pick a male and female for you. But it would be a while.
I had a crash course form a very good professor !!!!

SO, imi Mamma ----they are requesting a 20 gallon vert.

    (Ed)
My two breeding pair live happily together in an exo 18x 18x 24 H. ( screen converted to glass on top)
So much for fighting, egg eating, and tad eating! I still have the tad in the main enclosure in a small container with a small pc of almond leaf, some moss and distilled water. Twice, I have found an egg in the water. ( I don't l know which female ? put it there) Nice to have a little feeding help. I am alternating 4 different dry foods every 5 days. What do you think? Two John suggested and 2 I purchased from Josh's.

Additionally, there is one egg on a leaf ( that does not look fertilized ?, can't get close enough) , another in a film container, and two other in a brom. Plus something was going on yesterday afternoon. And now ........as I type ( I can hear them all the way up to the kitchen) The male's call changes when there is going to be new eggs.

I'ts instinctive mayhem going on in there!...I tell you I'm wondering if there is a little commune thing going on. I swear... I think they switched partners!

I am going to start another thread about a near HORRIBLE disaster----with a very happy ending!

Look forward to talking to everyone over the weekend -Lynn

Definitely go mints. They're by far my favorite terribilis with oranges a tight second. They are so bold and so hearty. Tap on the glass and they get all gangsta and say " whassup". They're going through a popularity boom at the moment. It seems everyone suddenly wants terribilis.

Looks like your imis were practicing before. Seems they've perfected it and now want to keep you occupied. Congrats. 18x18x24 is excellent for imis. Tons of climbing space. I wouldn't be surprised if there are tads in hidden locations that they are raising on they're own. . I'm going to be setting up a tank for some pumilio soon. My only dilemma is whether I get a set of bastimentos or siquirres.

Mantellas now eh. Good for you. I saw some nice ones at the herp show in Poughkeepsie a couple of weeks ago. Take pictures.

now see, i didn't know mantellas were on the table. a crew of goldens or baroni would be sweet! a little more difficult to breed, but i know you're not one to back down from a challenge! i now change my vote to matellas! i told you i was bringing them back! lol

i think what you guys should do is artificially inseminate Heather's tincs from Lynn's imitators and call your new species D. HeatherLynnicus. there ya go, problem solved! you both thank each other, and Lynn gets a new species.......lol

of course, we all know this is in jest, right? No flaming bill for hybrid thoughts.....lol
