I have a 20 gallon, all glass with a screen top. I cannot keep the humidity above 20% I mist and it just goes back down after a few hours. I have even tried using plastic sheeting to cover up half the screen and placing a screen top over that. any ideas?
yeah, its simple. you have too much ventilation. you need to get a lid or some kind of top that will keep that humidity in. some even enclose there entire tank
Do you have a substrate that holds moisture? If not I would recommend coconut fibers (eco-earth). Also what kind of animal is in the aquarium?
Before we can help offer solutions; could you please describe your 20 gal. enclosure (substrate, decor, plants if any, water dish or water features, etc.) and present heating set-up? Also, what frogs are you keeping? Thank you !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
Coco fiber one misc foliage plant and some moneywort in the water. Got a new humidity gauge and put it in the darker part of the cage and its been a consistent 70 to 80 percent
