Have you got a replacement? I want one but not if they are unreliable.

    How did it fail.
and what were you controlling with it?

The one I have has been working fine for almost a full year.
The only issue I had with it is when my american bull frog knocked the sensor into water and it had an error code and beeping
for a day until the sensor dried out. But after that I haven't had a single problem.

I haven't even tried to get a replacement yet. I've been too busy to worry about it.

It was a new tank and I was just using it to monitor temperature. I didn't have anything plugged into it yet. It started reporting an E1 error. Per google, this is a sensor failure.

If you still have it pug it back in and I will bet it may work.

Do you mist your tank if so you have to be careful not to mist the sensor.
I had the same error code when the sensor got wet.

hydrotherm is the best single item of equipment I've ever owned for frogs, it is truly lifesaver.
Paul - check ebay, i got all mine off there, it is too expensive to get from a store around here.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

Thanks for the tip. I wouldn't have tried it if you hadn't mentioned it. I plugged it in and it's working again.

Should the water go on the hot or cool side of the tank?
