Thread: Humidity problem

    Default Humidity problem

So i have an 18x18x18 exo terra terrarium with a compact top at the back side. The humidity is I was searching around and found out that several reptile keepers cover the top mesh to help in holding more moist inside the tank. I was going to cut a piece of perspex or glass and put it on the top. so i will have the perspex or glass on the front side and the compact top on the back side. do you recommend it? and what about the ventilation?

    Thanks before hand.

That will work as long as frog species does not require lots of ventilation. The ExoTerra has front (below doors) to back (behind top) crossflow ventilation, so even if you close the front half, there will still be air movement inside.

Do recommend that before you buy and cut glass or polycarbonate sheet; just tape a piece of saran wrap to top 1/2 edges. That way you will see if that helps your humidity situation or not. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
