So Im missing one of my FBT's, I usually can get a head count, but my big fat male has been missing for about 2-3 hours, do you rip your Aquatic Enclosure apart to find him or just assume hes chilling somewhere and he will pop up?
Hello Gary! Unless he could jump out; it has to be there. Do you have a filter or any decor with crevices he could get into and maybe get stuck? I've heard the Tetra Fauna Viquarium owners had that problem with the filter set-up. Good luck and hope you find him soon !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
Got em, got em, got em, he was stuck between two pieces of slate, but I free'd him and hes fine and happy now, and so am I. I wouldnt have slept until I found him. I rearranged the slate so that maybe it wont happen again. I didnt want to tear thier house apart but I would have if need, but what I did was use a very powerful flashlight and combed every part of the enclosure and I finally got a glimpse of one of his toes.
With the type of filter system that I have he could not have gotten sucked up in so I knew he wasnt there. Hes my oldest boy and hes a fatty, I am so happy now.
My fat guy is back to the very same spot again, he burrows between to pieces of slate, maybe he just likes this spot????
Glad he is safe and sound!
