I picked up my WTF from a local reptile rescue today! The guy said it called regularly, so I'm guessing it's a male.
Right now he's in a temporary 5-gallon setup because I want to make sure the silicone in his enclosure is completely dried before he goes in there, but I'll post pics of him in there in a day or so.
His name is Dubstep And he's moved more in a couple hours than my pac has in two years.
One more question: Where in the tank do you usually stick your thermometer/hygrometer? Like somewhere at middle height?
Hi
Congrats . He is adorable.
If you have stick-on type gauges- Then yes , middle height is fine. ( against the glass ...well...you have not choice)
the stick on ones are really the best, nor are they accurate.
Against the glass is not the best place and you typically want one in more than one spot or be able to move it around.
Consider a closed probe type only hygrometer- and drape the wire toward the middle. Plus, it can easily be move around. Seriously consider more than one thermometer as you will want to measure the heat gradients.
Below - These have a little magnet and can be attached to a leaf- my favorites N0 batteries, and the constant moisture never mess hem up !

These are great , cheap, accurate, and easy to move around.

Congrats, I love those guys.
Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the stick-on hygrometer/thermometer sets, but it's probably gonna be a week or two before I can get one of the good ones, so I needed something to ballpark the humidity till then.
I have a digital thermometer (one of the point and click kinds) that I use to look at heat gradients.
If I had the money I'd get him a hygrometer setup and mister like I have for my pacman, but I don't see that happening any time soon :P
