Default What is the best way to sterilize Cork?

I am setting up a new enclosure but will be using some older resources. I was just wondering what would be the best way to Sterilize the cork items I have. Thank you in advance!

That was what I was thinking as well. I was told by someone to Bleach it but with it being porous that scares me at the thought of some getting stuck in there. Rather be safe then sorry.

Default What is the best way to sterilize Cork?

I did some web reading and factories boil it to sterilize it before making cork boards and wine cork stoppers.

You could boil it than probably bake it at a low temp while it's saturated with water if you wanted to be extra careful

That was what I was thinking about doing, can't be too safe with my little guys; especially since the cork came out of another terrarium!

    Thanks everyone for the help!

LMAO, a holographic bust of nostradumus would be a nice addition.

All joking a side, I gotta say a post apocalyptic build could actually be pretty cool in a big enough tank!

I had thought about doing one for hissers or dubias. Sigh. Maybe down the road when I have tanks again. I still want to do a swamps of dagobah tank first though.

I would think that boiling would make it too wet. I was thinking more like steaming it, so it's not emmersed in water but the moisture and heat would do the trick.

    (Bill, you are sooo creative)

Thanks guys. I should be back in full force by the new year (crossing paws). This just gives me plenty of time for planning and engineering
