So I have an 18x18x18 exo terra terrarium for my green tree frogs. I attached the heat mat temporary at the side of the terrarium as seen in the picture.
The inside temperature of the glass at which the heat pad is attached is about 75-82 degrees fahrenheit. Since it is attached at the outside of the terrarium I am loosing alot of heat from the other part of the heat mat. Do you know where I can attach the heat pad or how can I solve the heat loss problem?
what are your temps? could you possibly bring them up with a different lighting choice. heating pads worry me. i see them as being the perfect storm for consentrated mold
my temps where about 22 degrees celcius. since it has a glue side to attach it to the side of the terrarium, I attached it to the side and since it now has a full contact temperature gone up to 32-33 degrees celcius. I attached an external temperature controller and temps are excellent now. It's maintaining 25-27 during the day and 23-25 during the night.
