    Default Red PCF?

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond his control, my friend has been forced to give up his two PCF's, Chromium and Levi. He's found a buyer for Levi, but he's turned to me for Chromium. He's had little other choice, due to how few frog owners are in our area, and if I can't take her in he may be forced to release her, which would most likely result in the death of Chromium since she's been in captivity for 5 months. However, he's helped me with my frogs on many occasions, so I've agreed that I'll take her in.

Before this time, I hadn't seen Chromium, but he's sent me some pictures of her. What's really stunned me is her coloration. Here's a photo of the frog on a piece of paper so you can see her coloration clearly and judge it's size by the holes in the paper:

What do you think? Do many PCF's have this kind of coloration? I've only ever seen brown and green PCF's.

'Reddish' or 'bronze' often makes it into the list of possible colours for these frogs. Check out the care sheet if you haven't already Frog Forum - Pacific Chorus Frog

That said, you should never expect to make any fine colour judgement from a photo that's probably not colour corrected on your probably not colour calibrated monitor with your probably not colour managed web browser. If that is 'white' paper in this particular photo, the white balance is seriously out of whack (there's way too much red). So definitely don't make any judgments based on this pic.

I've been studying the care sheet closely ever since my friend informed me of this, and I'm gathering the supplies needed today.

Alright, but still, even if that's not her exact coloration, she does look very pretty.

Oh yea, it's cute no matter what the actual colour turns out to be.

Hello, I have a Pacific Chorus Frog that was once a tan color but it he is starting to turn green. I don't know if it's because he's blending into the foliage or if it's because he's starting to relax.

Turns our we didn't have to sell the other treefrog, after all.

Oh, and by the way, Chrome has begun croaking too. It's actually really cute.

To answer your question, Levi, if your Pacific Chorus frog is turning green that means it's either blending in to it's environment, or relaxing. My American bullfrog, Gnag (of whom you caught ) turned brown once I placed her in her 30 Gallon setup, so I'm sure your PCF is fine.
