Default Found Frog in common area of Condo complex

    Hello All,
I noticed a frog in our condo complex and was worried he would be hurt by the dogs, etc., so I brought him into my private patio yard. After research, I do believe he is an African Bullfrog. I was going to let him live in my yard, but now that doesn't seem to be a good idea, as it is 50 degrees here at night lately, and only in the 60's during the day. Should I keep him in my house until it warms up in Phoenix, or try to raise him in an acquarium? He is about the diameter of a quarter-pounder hamburger. Plus, I have cats that go out in my patio yard, and I am worried he will bite them.

I second the idea of pictures. If for some reason you can not get pictures and you're absolutely sure it is an African bullfrog then do not let it back loose, they do not belong in the wild. There is also a good possibility that it might be an escaped pet so it wouldn't be a bad idea to go around to the other apartments in the area and see if anyone has lost it.

I'm hedging bets though that this is just Bufo cognatus (yes I know their name has changed but they will always be Bufo to me).

I'd be more worried about the cats biting him.
