    Hi,
Your frogs are so cute !
Where did you purchase your plants?
Do 'they' give any information regarding previous exposure to pesticides, etc?
Do they say they are 'tank ready'?

they are from dartfrog.co.uk they do give information on there plants yes they say if it will be a cutting or in a plant pot what size how big they get etc, but they do a pack where you just click 3x bromeliad as chosen by them and a climbers pack 3 x climbers chosen by then, but they have always come in pots!

Do they 'claim' they are pesticide and fertilizer free? If not the plant needs to re re-potted-----as this takes time to 'grow out " .

Some may think this is overkill; but I do a quick water/ bleach dip on any plant I put into my tanks even if purchased from a place that says they are ready or one that is from any other tank. To get the 'bugs' off . A capful of bleach in a 3 gallon bucket----then rinsed in de-chlorinated water.

I supposed you risk losing a plan/cutting ---but better than loosing a frog --- for sure !

ie Many of my plants- in my dart enclosures- are from John Clare's tanks. I dipped every one !
    Why?
    Because John suggest it !
That's good enough for me .

Better safe than sorry- right !

I use powdered rooting hormone for my cuttings and put them in a mix of coconut coir and worm castings. Have had almost 100% success rate using it with most houseplants. I do plant o grow all the ones I have started for a good 2-4 months before they see a terrarium though. No ferts except for the worm castings.

That bottom plant isn't a Marcgrevia species like the bag says, it's really a Rhaphidophora, my guess would be hayii (a shingle plant). That I would divide into two cuttings, and tack one half onto the top of the soil, with the other half kind of resting up a background or piece of wood so it has something to climb. The best way for tacking plants to the soil is to get the green plastic coated wire, usually found in the gardening section of a hardware store, cut off a 2-3" piece, and bend it in half like a large staple or bobby pin, and use that to pin the cutting down, you want to make sure the leaf nodes have contact with your substrate. For your first plant, the bromeliad, you'll want to mount it, either drill a hole in a piece of wood or cork slightly larger than the stolon (stem), and at the same angle the stolon is pointing so that when you stick it in the hole your brom is pointing upright. The second plant, just make a small hole in your substrate and plunk it in, I wouldn't use rooting hormone in a tank, they can be dangerous (the one we use at the school can cause infertility in humans, who knows what it would do to frogs). The third guy can be pinned down as well, or remove the lower few leaves and place the stem in a hole. Let me know if you have any other questions, I spend hours at shows explaining to people how to root things and used to be in charge of greenhouse propagation for the horticulture department at my school
