Default can you feed small frogs large crickets?

I have a pacman frog almost 2inches. A African bulllfrog almost 2 months old prolly the size of a silver dollar. Is it okay to feed them large crickets? Noticed the bullfrog had problems his 3rd one, can I just feed him less or should I continue with small ones until he's bigger? Maybe the pacman is good though he didn't have any issues?

I fed my 2inch pacman large crickets; if you crush the crickets head before you feed the frogs they shouldn't have a problem, but then you have to wave them around with tongs. Normally though you shouldn't feed anything bigger than the width between the frogs eyes.

no, don't fed large crickets, use medium ones ( 3 weeks) and pieces of nightcrawler as a staple.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

My frogs ate large crickets fine with there heads crushed, but i guess if you want them to chase there prey then use medium ones.

adult crickets have harder shell that is more difficult to digest for babies, harder to swallow too, no point to crush a head, if to tong feed then go for nightcrawlers pieces, they are way better to digest and more nutritional and healthy! also some babies got scared seeing big crickets
    same principle apply to pixies.

Yes that is true in my frogs poop all i find when i feed crickets is heads and shells but it does make it easier for them to get the cricket down with there heads crushed.

We usually offer the littlest pixies medium sized (1/2" - 3/4") crickets until they're close to 2.5" or 3", and then at that point they're eating 10 crickets or more each so we switch them to larges, which you don't need to feed as many of.
