so got my dart frogs all is good i have some cultures going and some ready, how do i get them out of there tubs? they just go every ha... when i have them in a little plastic cup and dusted everything is fine jsut tap and they fall... ITS JUST GETTING THEM IN THERE :@
How big is your jar? Cant you just tap them in there? Try making a funnel out of paper so they don't go everywhere.
I use a plastic Baggie. Put a pinch of calcium/vitD3 in, give the ff container a mini tap over the Baggie. Close the Baggie. Tap the top of the ff container to knock them down and replace the lid. Give the Baggie a gentle shake to coat the ff's, then tip the Baggie over in their home and they fall right in .

I hate fruit flies. But they are needed for when I have baby frogs. The hard part for me was getting them to stay inside the frog tank.
Anyone have problems with their native fruit flies? I have a tropical frog tank that I have to keep very humid. I've noticed that fruit flies just loves laying their eggs in there! I open up the doors and out come buzzing little flies. They are so small that my frogs don't seem to bother eating them either. I assume they are not harmful. Just annoying.
Sorry for hijacking for my question.
i have had one or two little ones in some of the bigger frogs tanks but not a lot maybe one or two at a time... some sort of trap in the tank maybe ???
Me too. Plastic bag is the way to go ! I buy 1 gallon ( non-zip lock bags). Otherwise it's insane to try to do the transfer
You gotta get quick with the culture lids ! Ha!
I find it very interesting how the FF jump to their 'destination' ---right off the side of the culture container!
They have only one thing in mind !
