    Default Chameleons?

My boyfriend loves my tree frogs and he wants to get a reptile or something of the sort for himself.
He has taken a liking to chameleons, and he's already started researching on how to take care of them and everything.
The only thing we don't know is where to buy one! I don't trust PETCO for such a high-maintenance animal, and I don't think that our local reptile store has them. He won't be getting it until next September so we have some time to figure it out, but any suggestions would be great!

    Default Chameleons?

I would check out a reptile expo. Also, I would start with a Cham that isn't as sensitive as others, such as a veiled or a Jackson's. I wouldn't dive right in with a panther or something similar.

Imo panthers are great beginner chams though they are pricey. Veiled's also make great pets. But if you want a certain species i say go for it. I do not recommend settling on a species just because the one you want can be harder to care for. Just do the research. And yes expos are a great place to look.

No there similar to veileds in hardiness. But no cham is easy to care for.

Personally my Chams are the easiest reptile I have to care for (though I only have a pair of vieldeds) I don't personally find them that difficult if you do your research. One of mine came from Petsmart the other from a contest I won online. The one from Petsmart was way healthier and more used to people so id go with them over "The Vield Chameleon" (the place I got my female from)
