OK? I didn't call anyone names. I demonstrated the difference between being rude and giving good advice in order to demonstrate that on a forum tones of speech do not apply as they do colloquially.
I apologize to Ann if she took it as rude. That was not my intention.
On a better note.....MY FROGS WILL ARRIVE TOMORROW!!!!!.....oh $hit! Off topic again...

Sorry, Grif
I do have a question that Annawolv may also have:
I've always used large smooth stones for the aquatic part of my frogs tanks. But is there anything else to use? I know sand isn't good for some frogs, and soil would just turn into mud, but are smooth stones the only safe and clean option for underwater substrate?
And I second SCF, the red heat lamps are great and usually cheap, too. UVB bulbs can work as well, but they aren't half as effective in warming up a tank as heat bulbs are. They do provide Vitamin D3, though. One thing I see a lot is two bulbs for one tank: A Heat bulb and a UVB. However, UVB bulbs aren't really necessary as far as I know.
My Amphibians:
1.0.0 Rana Catesbiana (Bumpy Digtoad )
1.0.0 Pseudacris Regilla (Levi )
1.1.0 Ambystoma Macrodactylum (Urtham and Gargan )
2.2.0 Bombina Orientalis ( Rosa, Sasha, Aleksis, and Dimitri )
Rest in Peace, Gnag the Nameless, Chrome, and Thermidor
I had larger stones in my tank for a long time. They were smooth and about 1/2 inch diameter and people told me constantly to take them out. I eventually did. The reason I did was the difficulty in cleaning. My stones were not very large, so the **** and coco fiber always settled down into the rocks and my filter wouldn't get it. Really it just depends on what you want. If you don't mind removing the rocks for cleaning do it as long as they are too big for the frog to eat.
