Default Whites Tree frogs not eating

(Newby) Can some one please help I have two whites tree frogs the shop where I bought them supplyed me some locust after reading posts on this forum i think they are too big, so I am on my way to get some small to medium locust/crickets I also asked the shop owner would I need any kind of stuff to cover them in they said NO just feed them on bug grub. Back to my question as these are nocturnal when is the best time to feed them do I put them in just before I turn the lights out and check for them in the morning or will they feed during the day or would a nignt light help.

They are nocturnal and should be fed at night. You want to offer food that is around the length of the distance between the frogs eyes. You should be dusting food with calcium w/d3 and vitamin supplements(not at the same time). If it is a young frog you'd probably be best dusting with the calcium w/ d3 every other feeding and multivitamin once a week. Along with gut loading the feeders on a healthy diet.

Stress is probably what is cause him to not eat if you just got him. Make sure that 3 sides of your tank are covered with some sort of background it will help make him feel secure. Also make sure he has stuff to climb on and hide in. Try to keep traffic around him low for now.

    Hi!
I'm having this problem as well. I just got two baby white's on February 2nd (so I've had them for 9 days). One is doing fine and eating whenever there's food available, but I haven't seen the other one eat at all. (I bowl-feed the crickets). I know they both understand the concept of the bowl, but I haven't seen Ino eat at all, and I'm starting to get worried. For the last two days he hasn't moved from the corner where his hide is, even when I put food right in front of him. I know he's not afraid of the other frog too, because they were pals when I got them. I really like Ino and I don't want to have to take him back! Please help?

To give your frogs best possible start:
-When the frogs are adjusting....you will want to keep them in a very quiet spot.
-Don't handle unless absolutely necessary--- they get so scared
-keep the enclosure ( quarantine / temp. enclosure highly recommended) as simple as possible for now
-simpler set up will allow you to monitor eating / poop/ soaking
-cover three sides of the tank - as this will help them feel more secure
-if you are concerned the feeder is too large---simply go smaller---feed them well
-and of course maintain proper temp and humidity
