    Default Pacman Frog Feeding

Hello, this is my first post

I was just wondering if there is anyway to make my young Pacman Frog a more aggressive feeder. For example if there is any way to make it eat things that I am holding with tweezers or if there is a way to make him less lazy and chase food or at least move to attack prey because it will only lunge for prey that is literally right in front of it. When I first got it, it ate loads and even chased a little Dubia Roach around its cage quite fast for Pacman Frog standards. It seems to be scared of me because it ducks down a little bit when it sees me and I would also like to know if it will become less timid as it ages.

P.S. Its name is Citrus and I'm not sure of its sex yet but I think it may be male. Also I have attached some pictures.

    Welcome to the forum

Nope, each frog is going to be different some are more shy than other while some can be rather aggressive. It's normal for them to only snap at things right in front of them, they are very lazy. Nice frog, way too small to tell sex though. He probably is scared of you, make sure to move slow when feeding and what not, quick movements will scare him more, he will most likely associate you with food over time and be less fearful of you. He will never really "enjoy" your presence but he will tolerate you with time lol

Thanks, I really do hope that he will become tolerant of me over time.

welcome to the forum, i suggest you check pacman section of the forum, there're tons of information just about everything you need to know and way more and you're welcome to ask as many questions as you like.

the only way to make him more aggressive eater if to ensure that his conditions are proper, he feels safe and food items are appropriate size. but even under those conditions majority, especially a bit older then babies, would just sit there and wait for food to come unless they're REALLY hungry
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
