Hi , my friend has found this little frog inside her home in Gauteng. Any ideas as to what it is?
I've little idea... Gauteng you say? Let me research this a bit...
Well, if it is in South Africa, it may be either of one of these:
Rana Angolensis - Common River frog
Ptychadena mossambica - Broad-banded grass frog
Or it could be an Indian Bullfrog. Unlikely due to how far away India is, though.
I'm honestly not sure. Perhaps someone with more experience will be able to truly identify it.
A picture of the snout/face of the frog would be useful.
My Amphibians:
1.0.0 Rana Catesbiana (Bumpy Digtoad )
1.0.0 Pseudacris Regilla (Levi )
1.1.0 Ambystoma Macrodactylum (Urtham and Gargan )
2.2.0 Bombina Orientalis ( Rosa, Sasha, Aleksis, and Dimitri )
Rest in Peace, Gnag the Nameless, Chrome, and Thermidor
Not sure what it is, but I gotta say, that is a pretty cool looking little guy.
