I adopted this skinny girl from a preschool today. I have her tank very simple right now with a coffee cup cave to hide in untill I can go buy some new stuff for her. I gotta get her fattened up.

Glad you have her now. Man! She is so thin. Why is she so emaciated?
She's lived her whole live on gold fish flakes. I'm guessing that has something to do with it. She ate a bunch of reptomin sticks after she settled in for a couple hours. Gonna try night crawlers today.

When she is that bad off only feed her every other to every third day. Give her time to asorb some nutrients and digest. Starving creatures need to take it slow.
Okay will do

Wow! I've never seen one so skinny Keep us updated! I agree with taking it slow on the fattening up process.
Imagine what it would be like to eat flavored cardboard your whole life and then have access to a food buffet haha
Slurmy update =)
She is putting on weight and doing very well. We upgraded her to a 20 gal, she's a big girl, I'm guessing about 5 inches snout to vent.
We've been feeding her a staple of reptomin floating pellets and either a night crawler or a dubia roach every couple feedings
