Cb09. I got it as a tiny baby then sold it a few months later - luckily I got the chance to buy it back!

Hi there, it's not open. I moved it around a bit so think it was a bit peeved with me, also I think it has/ had a slight case of mbd. The guy who I sold to hadn't really given it regular supplements of calcium, just multivitamins so I think the pic is a mixture of the two. Hopefully wont get any worse as I have it on repashy calcium plus now and it eats just fine- just a shame it's happened at all :-(

Make sure that the calcium supplement contains Vitamin D3. D3 is used by the body to metabolize calcium to bone. If its getting calcium and D3 then you shouldn't have to worry about the MBD coming back. Sad thing is that you can stop MBD, but you cannot correct what damage that has already been done.

Yes the repashy has d3. I know... It's so easy to prevent, I've been keeping reptiles/ phibs for 20 years and never had an animal develop it in my care. At least it isn't affecting its feeding etc, just a shame it happened

Many people get these animals without knowing how to care for them as you may already know and the animal suffers. Glad that you are caring for it properly. Don't take offense to my questions and sharing of information It's my job to do so.

No offence taken!-its great people care to question/ ask.
You don't know me from Adam so it's good you ask, plus others can see the questions and answers and it will hopefully help others.
I'm new on here but not to the herp world! I'm looking at getting more pacmans, I've kept a few in the past but I am now looking to get some more and keep mainly them as i used to mainly keep large lizards but after so many years I'm getting a bit sick of constantly cleaning big ***** up,plus all the other hassles of keeping large animals so i am looking for a change!!

Pacman Frogs are pretty easy to care for once you have everything they need and get their climate right so you probably won't have as much maintainence to worry about. Most setups only need to be fully cleaned and refreshed once a month unless an issue arises. I have 12 Ceratophrys. Only 3 of the 8 species though.
