    Default Incandescent bulbs?

Ive recently moved my bullfrog to a bigger tank and the heatmat doesnt get up to the required temperature. Whats the best way to boost the temperature? Are incandescent bulbs suitable?
    Thanks

Skip the incandescent bulb and go for the ceramic heater the screws into the same socket as a bulb. You will get more bang for your money, and skip the risks of broken glass and water on hot bulbs. You will still need a way to keep you pet away from and off of the heater, but a bit of work with some hardware cloth or the like will do the trick.

Not sure what brands are available in the UK, but they will be very similar to these:

I agree, picking shards of glass out of plants and water after accidentaly splashing a bulb taught me the hard way.
