Hello guys,
I hope all is well with everyone as it has been awhile since i have been on the forum. For all of my life i have kept animals... dogs, fish, aquatic frogs, tortoises you name it. That being said i have become quite interested with the prospect of keeping dart frogs. I would like to preface my questions with two notes. 1. I know not a thing about dart frogs so please bear with me. 2. I do not plan to rush into anything and will only setup a frog enclosure once i know i can keep them safely. So that being said what exactly goes into keeping dart frogs? What equiptment will i need to keep dart frogs? What are some of the best ways to keep the temperature steady in their enclosure? Given that i am working with limited space what is the smallest enclosure size that could work? How many frogs could i keep? If there are any other basics of dart frogging i would love to be educated. Thanks in advance for your feedback.
Best,
Zach
This is where you will get the answers you seek. Dart Frogs (Dendrobatidae) & Mantellas (Mantellidae)
^thanks!
It's good to hear your not going to rush into it. Darts are fragile little frogs, and not cheap . On the other hand in my experience they are a joy to have. One of the great things about them is they don't need much space, so it should work perfectly for you. Have fun on your adventure!
