    Default Favorite supplements?

I'm about to get some new calcium/vitamin supplement for Trevor, and I was wondering if any of you have a favorite supplement brand? Is there really any difference between brands as far as health and effectiveness?

Repashy's calcium+ is very good. A lot of people also use RepCal's calcium with D3 and Herptivite multivitamin powder. Hope this helps!

I use Herptivite multivitamin. It has Vitamin A in the form of Beta carotene to prevent Vitamin A toxicity. It works very well. Fluker's Calcium powder with D3 I also use with great results. It's Phosphorus free. Many are though.

Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

I was looking at the Herptivite the other day, thinking I'll probably go with that one.

I know it's good to get one that's phosphorous free, but why? What does the phosphorous do that's bad for frogs? Just curious.

Phosphorus prevents the body from absorbing the calcium into the bones.

Weird, I never knew that. Do you know if that's just for frogs or other reptiles as well? My others get prey with bones, so I don't supplement, but it'd be good to know anyways.

It's ok to have some Phosphorus, but it has to be very little. Better to have none because the food they eat already contains Phosphorus. I believe it works the same for every animal.

Miner-all (calcium with D3) and Vit-All. Both from Sticky tongue farms. One of the best. I also really like Repashy.
