Quick question regarding open front vivariums - what's to stop the frogs jumping out?
I see some really lovely looking vivs around online that don't have doors on them and wondering how they work? I wouldn't mind something like that, but don't want the froggies to jump out and get eaten by the dog....
They probably have removable doors that were taken off for the sake of the picture. The ones with two front panes of glass that slide in tracks, those are designed to be removable. There are a also few designs that use magnets to hold the doors on and you have to completely remove the doors to get access to the tank.
Or they might have little shock collars on the frogs to use with a mini 'invisible fence' like some people use to keep their dogs in the yard. (probably not)
I take pics of my viv and it looks like there are no doors sometimes but there are, hey just fold way back i could not see having darts or anything else that is or the run 80% of the day with out doors esp it would be hard to keep the humidity in without any doors on the viv.
Ahhhh ok thanks, thought that may have been the case!
