I found this at home depot, I normally wouldn't get a plant without knowing what i is, but this plant is sturdy with such big leafs I couldn't help myself. I have tried my best to find out what it is but I have had no luck so I was hoping someone here might know. I would hate for one of my little ones to get sick from it. Name: IMG_00000009.jpg

I agree with Bill, it's Ficus elastica 'Variegata', aka a 'Rubber Tree'. It has a sap that can be a skin irritant and shouldn't be used with anything that will eat it. The sap is only released when the plant is damaged, and I've never had an issue with it for my frogs. As you've noted it's fairly sturdy and my Gray Treefrogs have never caused the plant any damage. They quite enjoy the large leaves.

It will get big if it's happy (it is literally a tree in its native habitat), but can be pruned aggressively if necessary. It will survive in remarkably low light but the growth essentially stops if it isn't bright enough.

Check under the leaves very carefully for scale or other bugs. Giving it a wipe down with alcohol is probably a good idea even if you don't see anything.

Be careful if you use it with your Whites. As you already know they like to trample and destroy vegetation Lol!! At least that's what Don says they do.
