    Default Adding to the Rainbow!

Well..... I am really bad at saying "No" to big eyes. I'm sure most of you understand that! I've been trying so hard to say no to this little guy for a couple of weeks. Every time I go to buy worms, he looks at me. And then they got an Albino too! It is pretty slim pickings around here and this is the only time I have ever seen an Albino for sale. (Actually, it is the first time I've seen an Albino in person, such is the lack of pacs here.) I've been wanting an Albino. So we went to the store yesterday to "look" at it. Yeah, yeah, we all know how that goes! Well, the little green Cranwelli was splashing around in the water dish cute as can be. Next thing you know I'm driving home with two little frogs in my car. Darn frog addiction!

    Here are my newest cuties!

So these are my newest babies! I think they are both awesome! The Albino is so beautiful and bright! And the little green shows no fear at all. He wasn't stressed by the move or anything. And he took food from tongs right on the first try! I'm very happy with our newest additions!!

Thanks Bart! The albino is such a looker! The little Green is a really light shade of minty green. My other two Green Cranwellis were both an olive green as babies. I'm very curious to see how this one will turn out!

Look at the eyes on that albino, haha, they're huge! Can't say that I blame ya, Grif. I like the gold on your green, too. He has nice outlining around his brown spots. Nice frogs.

Great finds, guys! I've always been a sucker for albinos . I really like the shade of green on the green one. Any name ideas? You are definitely going to have a rainbow soon .

Yeah, they both have Huge eyes! I'm sure they will grow into them in no time.

I love the Green's coloring. It is different from other greens that I've seen. I am excited to see what colors he will turn as he matures. That is part of the fun of these guys! I know people are often disappointed when they don't stay the same color they are as babies, but I think it is so fun that you never know exactly what they are going to look like.

Like I said, this is the only Albino I have ever seen in person. Honestly, I've always thought they were a little overrated. Still awesome frogs of course, but they weren't at the top of my list. But seeing one in person... they are so Gorgeous!! At least this little one is! Every time I peek into the enclosure to check on her I can't help but think, "WOW!" They do seem to be hard to photograph though. I'm looking forward to doing photos of both these guys though.

Yeah, we are getting closer to having the rainbow. The come in so many varieties though! It is very hard to choose.

We have decided to name the little Green "Actias" as in actias luna. I was trying to describe his color and I kept saying "minty green" but that wasn't quite right. Then all of the sudden I realized that the color reminded me so much of a luna moth.
Right? That cool green with a little brown? I realize that he most likely won't stay that color, but once I hit on the name I really liked it. So Actias it is! We are still working on a name for the Albino. It usually takes us longer to pick names.

That's a great name . The color fits him well. Hmmm....a good albino name? Idk...I'm still trying to think of one for my albino bullfrog, haha! I'm sure you'll choose an awesome one. I'll be waiting to hear .

Just call him "Al" Heather, or Albert, Alfred.. lol yah. I can't think of any good names for my frogs, haha. I was calling my albino pacman Naner when I thought it was female.. but not anymore. I've thought of names, none have really stuck or "popped" good enough to stay with them.

Yeah, we have learned to go with non-gender-specific names. All you can really do is guess their gender when they are babies. Next thing you know, you have a big female named Grif!

    Hello Tim

We have 11 as of this moment. I plan on adding more in the future, but first I will be purchasing a rack system. Housing more frogs placed in a more space friendly arrangement.

I know what you mean about non-gender names, as Tank is also a female, lol!

WOOOOWWWW! Grif you were having fun there, teh frogs are sooo pretty, i would love to have a green one

and yeah- racks are the must ( I love steel ones from costco) and then you have space to get some more frogs and then you're getting one more rack and more frogs, and then.... lol
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
