Hi guys,
my oldest female frog has been acting weird tonight .. shes eating and all well yesterday..
she can no longer jump because she just cant use her left front leg anymore..
and the weird movements all over her body .. can anybody tell me whats going on?
here's a video of her acting weird ..
sick ? - YouTube
diet will be crickets, cocopeat as the substrate,
cheers .
I am not a vet.........I'm sorry she is sick
However, your frog needs a vet as soon possible!
What you are seeing could be visible signs of acute hypocalcemic tetney from severe MBD (these symptoms can include this jerky gait when the frog is walking with tremors and twitches in the limbs and muscles of the legs) Does she shake when you hold her?
It's sad, sorry.
If this is the case; she may need injections to correct this?
Have you been dusted the frogs feeder insects w/ a calcium powder?
I hope you are able to find a herp vet today!!!!!
Lynn

I agree with Lynn. The treatment needs to come ASAP. I'm so sorry :'(. He needs calcium with vitamin D on his food every night until symptoms resolve and still amphibian multivitamin powder on his food one day a week. He needs a vet for a proper injection ASAP. No doubts on this one.
I hope this helps. Please keep us posted. We will help as much as we can but your baby needs more help than you can provide at this time.
