First off, I know I will likely take some flak for the size of this mouse. Id like to clarify that yes, I do occasionally feed live mice as a supplement to my large frogs. I like to vary their diet a lot. They get nightcrawlers, horned worms, superworms, crix and sometimes small mice. Id also like to clarify that this was sold to me as a fuzzy, but when I got home I realized that it was closer to a Hopper. Anyways, next time I will assure first that it is indeed a fuzzy.

nice! i can't get over the speed too.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
That was really fast, yah. They surprise me sometimes while tong feeding.. they're really unpredictable sometimes and then when you least expect it they slam their food. I don't really think that mouse was too big either. Actually, it seemed like a good size. He got him down in one gulp.. I see plenty of video's where people feed their frogs mice that barely fit in the mouths.
Good video.
Hoppers are fine. With a frog that size though, I wouldnt really push it past that. There are just too many things that could go wrong, impaction, prolapse, mouse bite, hernia.
Wow! so fast!!
that was great thanks for posting
Wow, that was lightning fast. Could have swore I heard thunder. lol I am really on the fence and considering getting a pacman. They are so cool and seem low maintainance.
Cool video..
Well, they're basically spring-loaded at both ends. Muscle has limits on speed and power, so some animals use elastic tendons (and other structures) to store the energy from the muscle, then release it all at once. It's like how if you throw an arrow, it won't go far, but if you use a bow to store energy and then release it, it goes farther and faster.
Many frogs have elastic tendons in their legs, and while this hasn't been specifically tested in pacmans, I wouldn't be surprised. Similarly, many have elastic jaw muscles which allow their jaws to fling open really fast.
Holy poo that was like a bullet leaving the barrel like dang, you pull the trigger blink and you see only a downed animal.(I hope my Pacman will get that big he just a baby).
