first video of a brown tree frog litoria ewingi breaking free from the egg jelly sac i remember someone on the forum wanted to see this, over about 6 hours i filmed it and time lapse recorded the tadpole wriggling every so often, here youll see every movement it did over 6 hours and a few passbys by some older tadpoles , its a 2 minute 30 clip i put in some matching background music ..

a few pics their about 7mm long probably 2 weeks since being laid
That is soooo cool... I like how when it gets out it just gives up and flops out on the eggs lol.
its a bit late to finish this post being the start of next season now but ill update it on how last years lot went.... also - (check out my new post of year 3 where i will be keeping brown tree frog eggs taken from two different locations in the same aquariums but subdividing each type in the same aquarium and comparing the growth rates of the two different types against each other, i will do this by splitting them into four groups one of each will have a water heater in the aquarium to speed up growth, and one of each will be at room temperature, check out my latest post to see how this experiment goes)
anyway heres the vids and photos from last year in a lower quality webcam (i now have a 1080p camera with optical zoom):

and vids:
the videos are all dated as to when they were taken:
And some of the frogs in this video sunning around the garden back on the 29 - 01 - 2013 may have been the surviving tadpoles from the vids:
And this is the latest video taken with my new 1080p camera, litoria ewingii frogs calling on august 17th 2013 in my backyard, there seems to be 5 calling :
and these two here are also from the same batch :
all tadpoles were released into a home made pond in my backyard and some are still alive calling now on august the 19 2013
