    Default Cleaning terrarium

I'm new to toad keeping, have a trio of Bumble Bee Walkers. Advised to remove upper layer substrate every few days - this means disturbing toads and decorative setup. Is there a best way to clean ? How do you do it with 'delicates' in terrarium?

Thoughts? Perhaps thick layer coconut fibre, topped with roughed-up natural permeable cork tile maybe covered with loose moss - use laptop keyboard vacuum with flexible extension pipe to suck off any detritus?

I'm looking forwards to your expert advice.
