    Question Worms??

Hello there, 1 week ago i got a 2 month old albino pacman frog. I would get him some worms in the yard. But ill only find like 3 at a time. Now my aunt got me a green pacman frog thats 2 months old. Is it ok to get worms from a bait store??? If not where do i get mine from thats like the only option to crickets. Please help.

You shouldn`t be feeding worms "from the ground" due to the fertilizers and pesticides..... You can find nightcrawlers all over in different stores.

Check the sporting goods section of Wal-Mart. Make sure they are chemical scent and dye free. Also most Petsmart stores carry Night Crawlers. Cut them I. appropriately sized pieces before offering them to your frogs.

Yes, I think bait stores are fine.

It's kinda gross, but before feeding Walmart nightcrawlers to your pets, you'll have to grasp between two fingers the lower 1/3 of their body and squeeze their dirt-poop out. The dirt they're stored in inside the containers they eat as well, and I don't think it's healthy for frogs to ingest that.

You don't have to do that. The castings (poo) inside the worms actually have some good vitamins/minerals in them. I've fed Wal-mart nightcrawlers, DMF brand, to my reptiles for years and have never had problems. Just wash the dirt off the outside of the worm and you should be good.

You don't have to squeeze the soil from the worms body this is part of the reason why earthworms and night crawlers are so nutritious for frogs. They are loaded with vitamins and nutrients.
