I'm afraid my only choice is Josh's mailed/shipped across country. I know its overnight, but I'm hoping someone here knows of a supplier in SoCal...I'd rather pick up.

How easy will it be for me to find a sexed pair?

Sorry. I should have included that I'm looking for 2-3 small thumbnail species to fit in

Talked to Josh's. He gave me a great deal on a sexed pair of Dendrobates ventrimaculatus 'Sean Stewart Line'. They arrive tomorrow. I'll post pics on my viv log thread.

Wish I would have seen this thread earlier... There are MANY local SoCal PDF breeders... Josh's is a very good place to get frogs from though

We're actually having a dart frog meeting (SCADS) Sept 22nd in Anaheim, should be lots of dart frog breeders there along with supplies if you ever are looking for something in the future.

Good to know, Bonnie. I'll check it into my schedule.

There are quite a few reptile and amphibian expos in that area in the summer, so you should have no shortage of local options as well as online vendors. Shipping is nerve-wracking for all concerned, but it does tend to be very safe by the numbers, so I wouldn't rule it out in the future. Of hundreds of frogs shipped, we've suffered maybe one or two casualties over the years. Keep us posted on what you decide!
