Exclamation URGENT! I need help ASAP! Gray Tree Frog injured =/

So I have the Exo Terra 18x18x18 enclosure with the two swinging doors. I went to check on my two frogs and I saw that my female, Abigail had her left arm and leg/knee stuck in the small gap of the hinge of one of the doors! Now her hand is all crumpled. She's still hopping and can climb some, but I'm worried. Here's some pictures:

I have no idea how long she was stuck there. This is the first time anything has happened to her. I have hope since she can hop and she's in a quarantined enclosure now. What should I do? Please help.

Are there any actual wounds on the hand? Or just the disability? It looks as if she has some limited use of the hand and is protecting it by holding it close to herself. It's probably sore. If there are no open wounds I would just give her some healing time. Is she still eating well and is she still following her same routine?

There are no open wounds that I can tell. She acts pretty normal, haven't tried feeding her yet. I suppose I'll try giving her a couple crickets now. She still tries to climb and went straight to soak when I put the water in her tank. I'm just concerned that maybe some bones might have been broken or something.

Also, how long should she stay separate from my other frog? Until she's fully healed or just if/when she seems to be doing better?

If there are no open wounds I dont think you need to quaranteen her. Not unless she cant eat on her own. I'd feed her and see if she can eat without help and if so, you can probably put them back together. The stress of being moved can hinder healing sometimes. Keep an eye out just in case the other one starts to pic on her because of her injury. Its doubtful but with wild frogs it can happen.

And I wouldn't worry about broken bones. My american green was a play thing for my cat for 5 minutes before I realized what was going on and he ended up holding his arm the same way for a good 2 weeks or so. He had open wounds, though. There bones are pretty pliable and hard to totally break (especially the small ones like greens and grays).

If your worried about it happening again you could try using duck tape. Take a strip as long as the tank is tall and split it in half, then place the half in the center of another full piece the same length, sticky sides together, so there is about 1/4th the width on either side thats sticky. Put the tape on the tank so that the part of the tape that isn't sticky is covering the crack in the door. This will close up the gap, still allow you to open the doors easily, and your frogs wont be exposed to the glue in the tape.

    Thank you for responding!

She can eat, at least she ate three crickets last night with no problem. I put her back with Pete and I'm just glad she's still able to climb around. Her hand still looks the same as it did last night but her foot looks just about normal.

I'm sure he won't bother her, but I'll be sure to keep an eye on them just in case.

And thank you for the tape thing, I think I will definitely do that. It was horrible and I wanted to cry! I had no idea how long she had been like that cause the last time I opened the enclosure I was sure I'd checked to see where they both were.

Again, thank you Heather and Infinity.

I agree...if she has no open wounds and can eat and hop and climb, she should be fine. She may have a bit of a deformity in the hand or it may heal and she may start using it again. Just see how she does. I thinking putting her back in with Pete is fine . I honestly think she'll be fine so long as she can still hunt. Just keep an eye on the hand and be sure she doesn't develop any signs of a wound or infection.

Gray Tree Frogs amaze everyone with their hardiness. I accidentally closed the lid on my container on one of my males toes the last cage cleaning (I didn't mean it, please forgive me Poco!!) and although the frog's toe looked smooshed he still climbed the glass and ate well. It's fine now, went back to normal, but still amazes me how he healed so well and didn't seem to notice that the toe was messed up. Hope your frog's front leg heals Lauren

    I'm glad Poco is okay!

Her hand is already seeming to do better. She's not always holding it in and all crumpled up. Here's a picture from this morning:
