Default Plants for American toad set up?

I'm in the planning stages of a 20 gallon for my American Toad Spyder so I can get her a roomie. My current tank doesn't have live plants and for the new one I wanted to know what people used for their bufos. I wanted things to seem homely for her so I wanted to use plants that are native to NC, but I'm willing to venture outside of that if I need to. So comments, questions, suggestions? I wanna go all out on my first nice viv build so unleash your advice!

I have been racking my brain thinking about your question and I've come to the conclusion that it's really up to you. Because their range varies from hardwood forest to arid areas to your own backyard you should decide what you want to look at and as long as it meets their requirements of a water source, places to hide and burrow.

Here are some plant ideas. Bufo's are strong so tougher plants are best in case they happen to jump on them. Snake plants work well. Others are per your choice .

I was going to go with a spider plant and Dracaena plant that I can get at my home depot. I have jade plants but I heard they can be toxic so I've refrained from using them. I have a peperomia now and the begonias I had died. I have some lucky bamboo I've been growing. I was going to get some ivy but I can't find any solid lists about what there is native to here with out being a list of flimsy little flowers. Thank you both though, and that link was helpful. I'll see if I can I.D. anything in the woods around here that I can get locally.
