Default looking for a frog for a smaller tank

Im new to the forum and to keeping frogs. Ive looked up a lot of info for keeping poison dart frogs but have never started a viv. My girlfriend recently upgraded her work space in the office and was looking to set up a small frog tank. She would prefer an arborreal frog, as she does not really have the means to clean an aquatic tank at work. Therefore something like a tree frog or land toad would be preferred. We found some small exo-terra tanks that are 8x8x12 and im wondering what kind of species would be suitable for this size. She likes dart frogs and red eyed tree frogs, im not sure what kind of species of dart frogs would work, and all of the RETF info I find is mixed, some say small enclosures are fine some say much taller. Anyways just looking for some suggestions, thanks
