Default What is a good and accurate digital humidity sensor , to buy?

I am in the middle of designing a 55g vivarium, and I want to have a digital sensor. Please tell me some good ones or brands.

if you are going to leave it in the viv, i suggest something with a closed probe. I have the exo terra hygrometer / thermometer combo and it works fine for a bit but the mister eventually causes it to give false readings. I took it out and let it dry out for a day and it seems to be back on track.

I don't know about you, but I am so sick of crummy probe devices !!!!

Do you have any good humidity device solutions ? I sick of those too !!

Lynn that is a temp gun yes? I just ordered a temp gun the other day from reptile basics, the $50 one after being recommended to me. As far as humidity devices yes, i'm pretty much over the exo terra dual one i have. I'm sure it works great in dry setup like a beardie cage but one where there is misting going on i've determined it's not good. I took mine out and let it dry out for a day and put it back in the cage and it seemed to be a bit better but i think it's still off. My humidity is maxing at 79 with the tank sealed up, and when i first got it my humidity would get readings of 90. Definitely closed probe needed for misted vivs. As far as recommendations. I know bigappleherp sells one with closed probes i believe, and i'm not sure what kind of probe this one has Sunleaves Digital Min/Max Hygro-Thermometer - Temp/Humdity Monitoring | Josh's Frogs but i'm sure you could ask Josh's and they could tell you. But i've determined the Exo terra one is trash because i can soak my cage with the mister and the humidity never reaches above a certain point anymore. I think i'm going to buy an analog one just to stick in the cage from time to time to check.

I know when i get my Protean 24" cube tank, i plan to have an EcoZone controller running everything on the tank and the probe for that is closed so i'm hoping it will be good

Silly me. I have no idea why I answered a humidity ? post w / info on my temp gun. I'm really tired of the open humidity probes. I have one stuck on 99% for days. I think I'll get the $1.99 one from home depot !

    A little/dual computer fan.
I run it for 15min every couple of hours during the day/365 days a year.
I have it pointed toward the top of the enclosures.
    It's hanging from the ceiling.
( enclosures are in the basement)
