When I bought him, he was a juvenile. It has been maybe a year now and he looks almost the same size. I know that White's are suppose to reach sizes of about the size of one's hand, so whats going on? I feed him twice a week maybe 10 crickets a feeding. He is perfectly healthy and shows no signs of sickness. I'm just curious, is it the rate at which frogs grow or...?
He's probably an australian tree frog and not indonesian. They do not get as big and he may likely be male. Males are smaller than females.
Ezweasel has a point. is he croacking yet?
I don't even know if its a male or female. No croaking once so ever. He/ she seems to be a juvenile...maybe 1.5 - 1.8 inches long so far. Its been 9 months or so since I got him.
Exactly my problem. I have had my whites since March, and I bout him when he was like 1.5-1.8". Now he is only like 2". I asked the guy at my local petstore to see if it was the size of the crickets that mattered but he believed that they just take a while to adjust. But I do believe mine is a male because I heard his first croack last night
