Malachite's first photo shoot. We aren't 100% if he really is a Green Apple or not. He has darkened some from being on coco fiber, but you can see his pattern fairly well. There are more shots in the album, but here are a few of them:

We've had him a week so I would say he is almost a month old. We have him established and eating well.

When he isn't darkened he is really bright green.

He's a Hybrid. A cross between A Green Cranwelli and Green Joazeirensis(Caatinga). Normally the crossing of these two is not so good. The young develops problems as they mature, but we may have gotten lucky because by the looks of him, he has received more of the Cranwelli gene than Caatinga.

Lol!! Usually we offer him dimes and pennies, but wanted to try him on quarters to see how he fares.

He is eating well snatched crickets as soon as they hit the coco fiber and he even chases them around. He's going to look really beautiful as he matures. The stripe down his back is very unique in color. I've never seen an Apple take after the Cranwelli side before.
