getting ready to purchase and build a planted Exo with false bottom, mister, water feature, how many stress free RETFs is optimal for an enclosure this size?
Never mind, think I found the answer, from what I read, roughly 1 per 10 gallons.
If that is 36 inch in height that is an awesome tank for Red Eyed Tree Frogs. They will use every bit of that height and you can do some pretty cool things with a tank that tall.

If the tank volume calculator I used is correct then those measurements are roughly a 100 gallon tank or so...? You could keep quite a few in a tank that size!
I would recommend 8 RETF in there, 9 at the most. 8 should give everyone a little personal space so they can be happy and healthy without walking on each other. This is just my personal opinion!
I have two of the 24x18x36 and house 6.2 in one and 6.4 (males are more frisky in this setup so an extra girl is there).
Make sure you have enough heat! The problem I first had with this tank was keeping the temperature right. I use 2 UltraTherm heating pads on mine now. One centered along the back wall and one along the side wall. The pads are 35x6 I believe and they run the full length of the tank.

I have attached these to a side wall (using aquarium silicone) and the frogs love climbing them! You can attach pants to them with silicone easily also.
The more plants and climbing space you can give will allow you to house more frogs together. Also adding earthworms, bill bugs, springtails, roaches, and other organisms like these help to keep the pollution down and can be eaten by the frogs. -If you do this don't forget to add leaf litter also. I'm excited for you!
