Hey all,
I have Red Eyed Tree Frogs (Litoria chloris) which are an Australian frog. Anyway, I have them in a zoomed enclosure with the mesh top. I am thinking about sealing in more moisture to keep the humidity higher by placing a piece of glass (2 or 3mm) over the top. I need the UV to be able to penetrate the glass enough for my frogs and plants. How do others supply their UV requirements with a glass top? I know that some UV will penetrate but is it enough?
Thanks
Will
From what i've read and been told UVB won't make it through the glass. Most frogs don't need it anyway. Lighting is mainly for the plants
It depends on thickness. The thicker the glass, the less UVB penetrates.
