My baby pacman won't eat. It's the size of a quarter. I'm trying to feed him/her mealworms. What do you feed your babies? Ummm ... How do you usually get your babies to eat? I think that's all the questions.
How long have you had your Pac? What are temps/humidity levels? Are meal worms all you've tried?. Meal worms are only good as a treat they have too much chitin in their exoskeleton and it connot be digested by your frog. They have the potential to cause impaction(severe constipation) if fed too many too often which can cause death.
Try small crickets. Break the hind legs off them so they are easier to catch and offer them to your frog. The rule of thumb is to offer food that is no larger than the distance between your frogs eyes. Also try pieces of earthworm or red wigglers. the pieces you cut off the worms can be a little larger than the distance between the frogs eyes, but not by much.
Keep us posted.
I've had it for 5 days. Temperature High: 83 Low: 75. Humidity is around 60 to 70. I tried crickets and it didn't seem to like them that much.
Try bits of nightcrawler. Use tongs and wiggle the piece in front of it, lightly touch the lips to tease it. We haven't had them turn down worms yet. Just make sure the worms come chemical free!
I have a baby pac that can be hard to feed too like this. I found a trick that works for him. I cut up worms like Ivory suggested. But I drop them right in front of the babies mouth, from a foot above him. This seems to get him to instinctively "chomp" at the worm as it hits. Also wax worms work great for baby pacs
