The care sheet doesn't mention heat-humidity guidelines for WTF? Also lighting? Do they need UVB? I bought a repti-sun 2.0, do they need it or just the infrared for heat? The caresheet seems to be lacking.
The heat is at the top but the humidity is missing. I keep mine between 70 and 90%. 70% being the absolute lowest its ever been and 90% being right after I've misted. So it averages around 80%.
I was told that Whites need a UVB to digest there food but my Azy has been doing just fine with only a UTH for heat and a lamp/general room light to simulate day and night. I only plan to get a different light because I've started using live plants and they need the simulated natural light.
I have a similar question.. Can I get away with UTH (and window / room lighting) only??? Have you been able to maintain your temps / humidity w/ only heater? The young lady at my local pet store actually cautioned me against ANY overhead lamps b/c of skin drying..
dadmccabe, Please see your other post.
Also, UVB lighting is not required for WTFs. If you use a UVB then select a 2.0 or 5.0 max. If a WTF did receive any UVB in the wild it would be very diffused in the places they stay during the daytime.
