Here are some random photo's I've taken in the past few days of my ridiculously spoiled grey tree frogs.
Frogger shedding skin:
Uh oh, Frogger. We've got you fattened up for breeding season, but I think we're gonna have to go on a diet for the rest of spring XD
Use all the extra energy to make lots of eggs!
Weiser (female, left) & Frogger (female, right) sizing each other up :P
Bud (male, top left), Kermit (male, middle), & Rocket (unknown, right)
And now the whole crew!

Your pics have made me want to have more than 1 of these cute little guys lol.
*whines* Makes me miss my Helly even more! But it also makes me more dedicated to my "get the frogs to breed in my bucket" plan. XD I just love love LOVE Greys. There cute and unique and have such amazing little personalities!
haha, thanks They are a lot of fun to keep.
:P I can't wait to see a post about when you get them to lay eggs Thanks for the comment
Haha, army is about right. I feel like I'm under attack when I open the door "SURRENDER ALL YOUR ROACHES!!"
FYI:
Group of frogs is an army. Group of toads is a knot. ;o) But I know what you mean. They raise their heads and give you that "look" and you know they are about to launch. At that poine I ever so gently push their heads down. Frog disciple has to be put into place or they will attempt to take over the household.

Seriously? That's the proper term?
Yep, you can always see it on their faces when they're about ready to launch. They're funny :P
It's hard to stick with just one :P I know I wasn't able to!
hahaha, that's awesome. I'll have to remember that one
"Another" as in a new one. I don't have room for two. My last one died of old age.

Blarg. If I cant get some to breed in my bucket then I'd actually be more then willing to pay for shipping. Thar be nothing so far but my bible study leader said she has millions that hide in her shutters and come out to eat around her dusk to dawn light so in another week I think I'm gona take the bucket out there and see what happens. I really do want to raise some of my own, though. >.< And I'm too afraid of doing something horribly wrong and killing my frogs if I try to simulate a cold cycle to get a captive pair to breed. @.@
Grey tree frogs are extremely hardy. They handle the cold better than almost any other frog. Their blood contains glycerol, which is a natural anti-freeze. It protects their cells from freeze damange, allowing them to brumate above the frost line in below-freezing temperatures. If you put them in the garage in some tupperware with damp substrate over winter they'll be totally fine! Just make sure you fatten them up in the fall, go off feeding for at least 2 weeks before cooling them down, and give them access to fresh water all winter long. All of my frogs brumated together in a small tupperware container with about 2" of damp peat moss and a water bowl. They just dig a little hole and sit in it for most of the winter.
What if the winter is unseasonably warm? Like this year we had record breaking highs. We had 70-80 degree weather in January. In Illinois! @.@
Mine were actually in a wine cooler in my garage, so they never got warmer than 55F. If it's forcasted to be warm and you think the garage will get above 60F you can move them to a refigerator until it cools off again. Also, I had lots of air holes drilled into the lid of their container, I forgot to mention that.
