Just wondering, have any of you ever sniffed your frogs? I just caught a whiff of my WTF and she smells ... interesting? I don't really know how to explain it. Do frogs usually have particular scents?
Picture attached is the frog in question. (:
Everything has a particular smell. Bad smells are not good when it comes to your frog and its home. So keep a nose out for bad odors.
You know, I was going to post the exact same kind of thread!!
Yup, I have sniffed my Whites Tree frog. To me he smells like a fish or something like tomatoes. Not a bad smell at all. I often wonder if frogs use scent as an identifier, to identify each other (a species to species sort of concept).
Now I wonder what my Wood frogs smells like......

@Grif
I don't think she smells bad, necessarily ... it was almost like a plastic-y sort of smell? But not as ... artificial. I'm really at a loss describing it!
@frogluvr
Tomatoes! How peculiar, hahaha. I'd imagine that they do, but I honestly don't know, heheh. If you do smell your Wood frogs, let us know what they smell like!
i have not noticed a smell but i have noticed my hands are so soft after holding them. lol
Hello all. Now what would an bad odor mean?
