    Default Exo terra heat mats

Anyone know which exo terra heat mat fits the best on the side of a 10 gallon vertical conversion. If i had to guess i'd say the small size is the one to go with but i've never seen them in person. I don't want it to overhang the glass at all. Anyone shed some light on this?

If the measurements are 6"x8" it won't overhang.

It's a plug in - on, unplug - off, thing. They stay warm to the touch.

the side of my tank is 12" wide by 20" high so i'm thinking a small 8x8 would probably be best so that its just heating a little area and not over doing it. That sound about right? I'm trying to heat one side of the tank for a RETF. right now my tank is sitting at 70 degrees F and 92% humidity which is being measure from mid height on one side of the tank. Down by the substrate its looking about 68 degrees. This is with no light on.

I think i need to figure out something with my humidity. My tank is staying pretty humid. Its at 92% right now but that's due to alot of misting from testing out the mistking. I tends to sit in the mid to lower 80's from what i was getting yesterday. going to see how it does tomorrow with the mister running its 5 cycles for 6 seconds each. That may prove to be too much and may have to only mist it maybe 3 times. My screen vent at the top portion of the tank is 2"x8" and this tank seems to hold humidity like crazy
