How many bottles of 16 oz Great stuff for a 10g?

I am making my first DIY Great Stuff background. It is for a 10g, only the back wall, how many bottle(s) of it do I need? Each bottle is 16 oz.

One should easily be more than enough for a ten gallon. I can usually do two 20 gallon backgrounds with a can and still have some left in the can. Remember that GS expands and sometimes doubling what you sprayed in so let it really completely dry. You will also have spots that release foam that was expanding inside the GS and let this dry too then cut and trim.


Covering the GS with Silicone is where its tough to say since you have to put it on think and sometimes one will be enough for a ten and sometimes you need that second tube of silicone to finish it.

how long do i let it dry before introducing my frogs? is it like silicone to wait until the smell goes away
