Default White's tree frog NOT MOVING!!!!

Hello Frog Forum!! I'm new to the site and very concerned about my frog!! He's sitting with his nose up against the glass not moving, but breathing heavily. I'm afraid that I either fed him too much or he seriously hurt himself by hitting his face on the glass. This happened last night and he's still sitting there panting. I didn't see him hit his face on the glass this time but he's done it and it made such a loud thud it scared me that he could...break himself or something one day. I fed him more crickets than usual because I got him a new friend last week!!! The other frog is much smaller but not small enough to fit in his mouth.

hmmmm.... have you picked him up to see if he's injured?
If he's hitting the glass so often, he may need a bigger enclosure. Or perhaps he's very stressed about the new friend in his space? For 2 white's you would want to go to at least a 30 gallon.
Does he have plenty of hiding spots? How's the humidity, temp? Are you using a water conditioner/de-chlorinator?
Sitting there panting with his nose on the glass could be anything really. But it sounds like stress to me.

Yes, a vet. Make sure the vet is familiar with treating herps. How long have you had the frog?

You need to check on him, but be careful. If he is injured you could injure him further. Be as gentle as possible. You need to make sure he is ok. This can be very bad if he hit the glass really hard. He could have seriously injured himself. I have heard of frogs breaking their necks this way.

I went to pick him up and he seems bloated, I think I may have fed him too much? Can this really hurt them?? The people at the vet store told me 20 gallon is plenty of room for 2 frogs there are a lot of hiding spaces and things to climb on. The humidity is always 45-50% and the temp is around 75 degrees. I always dechlorinate the water. If it's stress will he just get used to his new friend after a bit or is there somethings I should do? I have no idea how to find a herp vet in my area but I'll call the local vet and see. I've had him for almost a year now. I'm sorry for your loss pandora3d. Thank you for all your responses.
