Hi,
Today I started work an an s. gottlebie terrarium. I first put down small gravel which I used to bury various rocks in. I made an elevated side of the tank with rocks and gravel. Between this side and the other is a valley of gravel. the gravel slopes up to the rocks on both sides to make the "valley." This valley will be filled with water during the "rainy season."
Next, among cracks inbetween the rocks where needed I added sandy/clay type loam. Then I inserted a succulant plant of some sort in the bottom of the dirt. Using this sandy/clay soil I buried the plant. It looks very much like the real s. gottlebie habitat so far. pics to come!
