Hello!
I was wondering how many chubby frogs can live comfortably in a 10 gallon aquarium? Also, do they need a UVB light?
Please do your research. It has so far been noted that many frogs should not require UVB, and that few disputed frogs, may require them. Kaloula Pulchra, is not one of those few. You should be fine placing 2 kaloula pulchra's into a 10 gallon, though I think a 20 is better.
I read caresheets and anything else that I can, but there are so many conflicting opinions concerning frogs that I would just rather ask any questions that I have on here, a site that I trust, than get false information from a terrible sheet. Please don't think that I got them without knowing anything. Thanks for answering my question.
My apologies. Usually, I go to reliable websites where the interface looks orderly and attractive, you'll find articles on those websites, which are not too broad in spectrum. As for regards with the no. in one tank, you'll probably need to have some experience and make some guess. Chubbies are not terribly active, but they are extremely good escape artists, I have had 10 of them escape into my backyard(they're native here). Today, we still hear the chubbies mocking me with loud cow like noises.
Oh yes, I must say that they can dry out underground, so watch out in keeping the substrate moist.
