Is is odd for my frog which ive only had for 3 days now not eat crickets from tongs. ive only seen him/her two crickets and they had been in there for awhile?
It isn't uncommon for a new frog to not eat for a day or 2 while the frog gets used to the surrouding and new home. They aldo have to acclimate to their home and temps and humidity levels. Maintain the temps and humidity and don't have bright lights on during feeding. Break the hind legs off the crickets to make them easier for your frog to catch. Be sure to dust them. Keep us posted.
ooh, even I have experience with this! =)
When i got Pancake, i was told he was eating superworms, but he wouldn't! I found out that superworms aren't a great thing for them to eat too often anyways (thanks to some very experienced keepers! <3)
I got him some night crawlers from the petstore and he will not eat them! I had the poor baby for a week and half before he was chowing down on crickets! I don't have to break the legs, or use tongs or anything, I think once the conditions were right, and he was feeling a lil more relaxed, he was cool to eat =)
If you make sure conditions are right, and let him settle in a lil, i'm sure he'll eat for you! I was a very stressed out mama for a bit worrying about Pancake starving!
alright thanks for the advice, i just worried about him/her not eating enough
